What we process

Opening Repair asks for a Lichess username and uses public Lichess games to build an opening repair report. We do not ask for your Lichess password and we do not access private games.

The app stores report jobs, reports, report items, engine evaluations, dismissed items, and reward-extension eligibility so the report can be shown again and extended without recomputing everything.

Browser storage

Your browser may store display preferences, sound preference, selected tabs, review choices, and temporary Repair progress. Some queue state is kept in session storage and can disappear when the browser session ends.

Service data

Our hosting provider and server may process technical data such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, and errors. We use this to deliver the website, diagnose problems, and keep the service secure.

We do not use advertising trackers.

We use GoatCounter for privacy-friendly website analytics to understand overall visit counts and popular pages. GoatCounter does not use cookies for this analytics.

External services linked from the app, including Lichess, process data under their own terms.

Your rights

You may have rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
